The COVID-19 virus has drastically impacted both the day-to-day lives of millions and the overall world economy. As the virus continues to spread and uncertainty rules the day, the world’s economic outlook looks substantially different than when we entered 2020.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has officially been categorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a pandemic, meaning infection is accelerating in multiple countries concurrently. The United States of America has declared travel bans on 28 European countries, many countries have closed schools and universities, and large gatherings of people have been stopped.
Until further notice we are encouraging or mandating that our staff adopt a work-from-home policy, and realistically mainly for email and other non-operational systems. In the months and years ahead, experts say remote work will only become more prevalent. “We recommend treating a temporary remote work situation less like a field trip and more like what it truly is — the future of work.”
We are together in these uncertain times. We hope we’ll be able to shake hands very soon. In the meantime, Stay strong, stay safe, stay healthy.
